After sustaining a fall resulting in a fracture, our father was being quickly discharged from the hospital emergency room and needed urgent placement in a care facility.

I want to give a special shout-out to a very special lady who was instrumental in helping my brother Kevin and the rest of his family find a qualified assisted living facility for our mother, who has advanced Alzheimer’s disease. Mother was in a facility that was not qualified to meet her special needs – nor did they try very hard to meet her needs. My mother was traumatized by her experience and needed a place to go immediately, as she was literally being thrown out of the place she was residing. This is the point at which a guardian angel stepped in to help us out. Her name is Jenny Swanson and she found the most perfect facility, Milestone Assisted Living facility, in Eau Claire WI. There we found more angels who went out of their way to quickly provide a space for our Mom. And not just a “space” but a place of love, caring, patience, kindness, and respect for our Mom. Jenny even went to visit Mom to make sure she was happy and settling in to her new home. Then she contacted Kevin to report her observations and we were delighted to hear many good things about Mom’s care. Jenny has a heart of gold and is just as happy as we are to see that Mom is doing well.

The entire staff at Milestone has gone out of their way to welcome and help Mom to settle in to her new home. We can all finally sleep at night knowing our mom is being cared for by knowledgeable, capable, warm, loving, caring people (angels, as we call them). We owe everything to Jenny for getting us through a most difficult time and finding us the perfect place for Mom. Thank you and God bless you Jenny…from the bottom of our hearts. Jenny calmed my heart as soon as I heard her voice. I had very little time to find a new living arrangement for my loved one. She took the reins in helping me get to the next step to make it happen. Just today I was thinking that without her I don’t think I could have gotten it done. Jenny’s an excellent, empathetic communicator that understands the stresses that come with life changes such as this. Her experience and knowledge of the area’s resources gave me the assurance that nothing was overlooked. I will refer everyone I know who finds themselves needing to find a new home for their loved one. Assisted Living Advisors was a godsend.

World Class Service!!! Needed to move 3 family members into memory care and assisted living all at the same time with no experience whatsoever in any of these arenas. In less than 2 months from initial contact, everyone was moved into safe locations that fit with their personalities and care needs; all are happy and adjusting into their new homes. This included a change in mind for locale of assisted living, and ALA had located a new option within 2 days. And they provided contact information for movers – who were also world class. And all of this in the middle of a pandemic. All I had to do was answer the questions asked and ALA did all the work. There is much to do in many directions when needing to relocate loved ones; it is nice to have some of the load taken on by experienced professionals – took a huge amount of stress off the plate so that I could focus on my loved ones other needs.

I have been caring for a friend for several years and had reached a point where residential care was necessary. I called Jenny and explained my friend’s condition and circumstances. Jenny was able to offer a choice of facilities, based on my friend’s needs and resources. My experience in health care meant I didn’t need to spend a lot of time touring facilities. I knew which facility would be my preference. Jenny contacted them, handled all the preliminary work and called me back the same day to report a room available at our first choice. Jenny was recommended to me by the local senior and disabled person care agency that I had asked help. Due to a misunderstanding that happened just prior to moving in to my former location when I had asked for information. I needed to find a new home after seven months. Within a couple days, Jenny had located two very new facilities that met my requirements and needs. Within 10 days I have reserved a apartment and am due to move in soon.
